Jordan CEMENTRA Cement Grinding Project

2025-09-10

The Jordan CEMENTRA Cement Grinding Project, also known as the Jordan Cementra Cement Grinding Station Project, stands as a flagship initiative showcasing the global expansion of China's cement industry technology and equipment. Located near Amman, Jordan's capital, the project is owned by the local Jordanian enterprise Cementra Company. Its core technologies and equipment primarily originate from Chinese cement engineering firms, specializing in receiving clinker and processing it into finished cement products.
Telecommunication cables play a critical supporting role in the project's operation, serving as vital infrastructure for ensuring efficient and stable production. The distributed control system (DCS) relies on high-quality telecommunication cables for signal transmission, connecting the central control room to core equipment such as vertical mills and ball mills in the grinding workshop, as well as various sensors and actuators. Through telecommunication cables, equipment operating parameters (such as grinding pressure, temperature, and rotational speed) are fed back to the control system in real time. Simultaneously, control commands are precisely delivered to the equipment, ensuring stable, low-energy, high-efficiency grinding operations for vertical mills and guaranteeing uniform quality of finished cement.
Given the dust-laden production environment of cement grinding stations, the selected telecommunication cables feature dust-proof and anti-interference properties. These characteristics effectively prevent dust intrusion from disrupting signal transmission while resisting electromagnetic interference generated by workshop equipment like motors. This ensures accurate and stable data transmission, providing a reliable signal pathway for automated control. Furthermore, telecom cables play a crucial role in the operational control of environmental protection equipment (such as baghouse dust collectors), enabling precise monitoring of dust emission data and ensuring the project meets local environmental requirements.
The judicious application of telecom cables in this project not only underpins the efficient implementation of China Cement's technical solutions but also demonstrates the professionalism of China Overseas Engineering in detailed support. This further strengthens the competitiveness of China's cement industry in the Middle East market, becoming a vital component of the China-Jordan capacity cooperation and an extension of the Belt and Road Initiative.
