Electric Vehicle Charging Modes
Change Modes: Mode 1
·Standard Charging Plug
·Use only AG charger:
1. Single-phase power, maximum voltage 250 V, maximum current 16 A
2. Three-phase power, maximum voltage 480 V, maximum current 16 A
·Must be equipped with a protective ground wire
·SAloct earh loalkago protncicm
·This model is approved in the United States and the United Kingdom.
·This model can achieve great performance in Germany.
Charging mode: Mode 2
·Charging using standard outlets:
·Three-phase power: Maximum voltage 480V, maximum current 32A
·16A must be equipped with a protective earth wire.
·The control pilot (CP) on the “cable control box” is critical.
·A residual current device (RCD) must be installed.
·Frequency-based leakage testing is mandatory in the United States.
·Maximum performance in Germany:
1. Charging via standard outlet: Voltage 230V, Current 32A (Charging power ≥7kW)
2. Three-phase power: Voltage 400V, Current 32A (Charging power ≥22kW)
Charging mode: Mode 3
·Compatible only with specific charging stations
·Supports AC charging only:
1. Single-phase: Maximum voltage 250V, maximum current 70A
2. Three-phase: Maximum voltage 480V, maximum current 63A
·Requires protective earth (PE) and control line.
·Vehicle and charging station coordinate performance requirements and availability via pulse width modulation (PWM) on the control line.
·Vehicle can feed energy back into the grid.
·Maximum performance in Germany for this mode:
1. Single-phase: Voltage 230V, Current 70A (Charging power ≥16W);
2. Three-phase: Voltage 400V, Current 63A (Charging power
Charging Modes: Mode 4
·Only be used in specific charging stations
·Battery charging cable and charging station are securely connected
·Use only the DC charging:
1. DC type I:2pins(DC+/DC-),voltage 330V,curent 80A(charging power≥25kW)
2. DC type I:4 pins(DC+/DC-),voltage 330V,current 160A(charging power ≥50kW)
3. Combination typell:2-pin(DC+/DC-),oltage 850V,current 200A(charging power≥170kW theoretically possible)
·Internal fittings must be monitored in real time by the temperature sensor
·Performance of the vehicle can be adjusted by CP or PLC.
· A charging station can also provide AC Mode 3 and DC Mode 4 charging.
